About Us

Michael Clarke is the Managing Director of MC Consult and has been working in or for the healthcare sector for thirty years.

 

Michael studied mathematics at Oxford University and is a chartered mathematician.

 

Michael joined the NHS straight from university with his first position being as Bed Manager at University College Hospital London. From there he moved to West Hertfordshire and over the next twelve years worked his way through various capital and strategic planning roles to be Director of Estates and Planning.

 

In 2000 Michael joined Cyril Sweett as was, and led the healthcare project management team, specialising in the writing of business cases and as technical advisor to the NHS for PPP procurements.

 

In 2008 Michael joined Willmott Dixon to lead their bid for the P21+ Framework, which was successful: when the Department of Health announced the results Willmott Dixon had come top.

 

In 2014 Michael established MC Consult and has undertaken a number of projects, including advising on PPP procurement, strategic healthcare planning for one of the largest land redevelopments in London and the healthcare planning for alterations at a prestigious London Teaching Hospital.
